Fiona’s teachings are informed by many years of study and practice, but remain influenced by her therapeutic and clinical experience.

The practice of asanas (yoga postures), can only be understood through an individuals direct experience. This needs to be correctly guided and informed, so we are not copying a shape, but rather understanding and learning our own body mind connection.

At The Old School Studio, practitioners are invited to explore their own journey in a safe and supportive manner, learning why to practice as well as how to practice.

Everyone is encouraged to try any style of class on offer regardless of your level of experience

Beginners feel confident that you will be gently guided through each class.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.


Slow Flow

As the name suggests, this class is practiced at a slower pace. Around half the number of asanas are practiced here compared to a more typical Vinyasa class. This allows time to deepen our understanding of each breath informed movement and the transitions between poses.


Yin Yoga

Yin is a passive practice where postures are held for 3 – 5 minutes and sometimes for longer. Physically this practice targets deep connective tissue, encouraging flexibility and release in the joints of the body. This calm class is a beautiful antidote to our ‘yang’ lifestyles and a chance to explore deeper Yoga philosophies and deeper self-awareness.


Preparing for your Yoga Class

  • Aim to arrive 10 minutes early in order to get settled.
  • Refrain from eating for approx. 2 hours before class.
  • Dress in comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
  • We provide mats, blocks, yoga equipment and fresh filter water.
